Preach it loud
Finally, some recognition. Some friend of a friend djer asked me to do a layout for her, except that I don't know if I actually will. I enjoy doing this, I like making images for my friends, but I hate receiving no compensation in return. My time is worth something, I'm not going to do something for nothing (simple gratitude doesn't count here) unless I offer a friend of mine. An icon, I could do. It's just 100 x 100 pixels worth of empty space, but a full layout costs an entire background along with whatever coding needs to take place, as well as server space because I host all my images. If I'm going to make you a layout, I'd better be in love with you. (People on my friends list are automatically upgraded to this status.)

^__^ You're just a real sweetie. I do feel bad because I have no clue on anything to do with computers. But I promise to do something extra nice for you. Because you rock.
Thanks ^__^I really don't mind what I get in return (as long as it's not intentional crap ^^;); a simple e-card would suffice. Lots of people with online journals write original fiction, fanfiction, or poetry (the very nature of having a journal implies that you enjoy writing after all ^_-), some do fanart; any one of those things would be fine. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece or an extensive project, just a simple exchange showing apprecation of what I've done. That's all I really ask for. ^__^
*giggles* Aww, you're in love with me! Thanks! ^_^In all seriousness, I did mention before that your journal looked very impressive; I'm a little surprised someone's not asked you for a layout before now.I went through an strange phase, making lots of icons for friends - despite me not having much skill, I had lots of time to play with things, and felt inventive. I learnt a few things, while playing around with settings on the programs I used, as well. But I'd be so useless with journal layouts. Hehe, that'd require knowledge of coding - I have none :P
That's my stage right now; I'm still a beginner at using photoshop and coding (I only started doing this seriously about three or four months ago XD) and I enjoy making layouts for myself and other people because I gain more experience, as well having fun doing so and feeling appreciated when people gush over the final result. If you'd like me to do something for you, I'd be happy to. ^_-

Heh, Photoshop and coding - two things I can't use at all. I only have Paint Shop Pro here - I tried to use Photoshop once and failed dismally ^_^;;I'd have to think of something, but I quite like my simple design... If I think of a good idea, I'll inform you ^_^
One day I hope to use PSP as well XDOkay, let me know ^_-
