Stupid Christians. How the fuck is athiest an offensive word!?! >_<;When will they realise that they DON'T own the feckin' place?

gamse1dyila hat gesagt…

Fuckin' tell me about it. If I went around with a license plate saying "LUV GOD", it sure as hell wouldn't be making any headlines, that's for sure.

Why are you capitalizing the word "atheist"?

kkadda hat gesagt…

Why are you asking? lol No reason, I just like it that way lol

Because, in my experience, when people capitalize "atheist" (or "atheism"), they're implying that it's a religion, normally setting up the argument that it requires faith as any other religion. In other words, when some religious zealout starts capitalizing descriptive words that are not derived from any proper noun, it's because they're attempting to proselytize or somehow prove the atheist's stance wrong. I find that practice to be annoying and I'm also an avid supporter of decent grammar skills.

This is me, and nothing more. I can't (or rather won't) change in order to satisfy you or anyone in this sensee. I do wish not to make so many grammar errors, however, my personality has almost absolute control over me, in other words, I do as I please =P lol ^_- chill pill, I know you're probably pissed right now, but... you know =D I'm not your enemy.

What's wrong with people? If someone chooses to be a Christian, let him be a Christian without any complications. If someone else chooses to be atheist, then let him be atheist. I'm not saying this to bash anyone in general, but who the hell cares if someone has a license plate with "atheist" on it? It just means that they don't believe in a God. Even though I'm a Christian myself, I don't feel like I own the fucking world and start damning other people to hell because they have different views than I do.....>_<..

Okay, back up, buddy. I have no idea where you're getting this from, but before you start any more misunderstandings, let me start out by telling you that you're flat-out wrong. Not about saying that this is you, that's perfectly fine. But where are you getting that I'm trying to change you? You asked me in your previous post "why are you asking" and I answered. I told you MY reasons. Did I say that you should start changing your ways in order to become a clone of myself? Of course not. When I wrote that I found "that practice to be annoying", I was referring to proselytizers (who often capitalize "atheist"), not the actual capitalization of "atheist", which you do. When I mentioned decent grammar skills, I refer to the fact that "atheist" is not from a proper noun (because it's not a religion) and therefore should not be capitalized except when in front of a sentence. This was in no way meant to be a jab at your grammer skills; if people want to play ee cummings, that's perfectly fine with me as long as their message is understood by me, and trust me, I don't need capital letters in order to read. It certainly makes the text more pleasing to the eye but for whatever reasons, it really doesn't bother me unless what you type is so horribly grammatically incorrect that I can't understand a damn thing written. Since I can respond to your posts and comments adequately, obviously I don't believe that your writing falls under that category. And of course, I frequently leave out a period when ending sentences, which is why I used the the word "decent" to describe the type of grammar I find acceptable. Next thing, don't tell me to "chill". Don't tell me to calm down over something I feel passionately over. Don't tell me to relax when I'm dedicated to working myself into a frenzy over something. I'm a strong supporter of freedom of and from religion and I will most certainly not relax when the conversation revolves around these subjects. I'm also passionate about anime and video games and yet strangely I have yet to hear you tell me to calm down when I'm gushing over those; I don't see why those interests of mine are acceptable for me to chatter about endlessly and yet something else that interests me, such as this very topic, is not. As for being pissed off, I know my writing undergoes a change when I hit certain moods, but trust me, that is not a certain indicator that I am angry. Most of the time it merely means that I have a point to get across and I find that clear and concise writing is the bet way to do that, just as you did with this comment. I am not angry, I just want my stance to be known and I don't want people to misunderstand it. That is why I write like this. And finally, I never said that you were my enemy. I will talk like this regardless of whether you are my best friend, some random stranger off the street, or Pat Buchanan. If you thought my comment regarding religious zealots applied to you, let me say that unless you are offended by the word "atheist" being on a license plate, then I really don't understand why you would even think that.

Those annoying extremists on both sides need to be locked in the same room together and left there until they all either killed each other or worked out some sort of feasible compromise. >__<#

khoihcmc8365yahoocom hat gesagt…

Okay, in other words, never reply to these posts... You totally misunderstood me just as I did with you... lets leave it at that, cuz I dun like getting into arguments like these. But if you must know why I reacted like that, is because 'friends' of the past have tried to change me or make me 'understand' religion regardless of the countless of times I requested not to be dragged into the subject. That is all.I'm sorry, didn't know you felt this strongly about the subject.

ourergodzyahoocom hat gesagt…

In other words, know the difference between who I'm talking about. If you have something to say, please say it to me instead of holding it back. I will never get upset at a person for having a differing or similar opinion though I might get upset the opinion itself. I don't want you to feel that you have to refrain from saying what's on your mind for any reason; if I have misunderstood something you've said, please feel free to correct me.I understand and sympathize with you in that I would not want my friends to attempt to convert me as well, but please understand that I did not drag you into this subject. You, of your own volition, replied to my post where I insulted the close-minded and annoying section of humanity; there was no dragging on my part. If you believe that my response question was, in fact, an example of it, then fine; I can certainly see how one might infer it to be a bait.

magnaniuoyllneverbe47 hat gesagt…

Bait or whatever, I don't think that was it, I wuz just trying to let you know, you're not alone, but at the same time didn't want to talk about it, thus the short comment ^_-

Kill each other, please! Because even if you claim to be a "holy" Christian, or be an atheist, and stick to it so zealously (is that a word? O_o), you don't care what happens, and you'd kill for your reputation/faith.
